Get an xps and add the extras you want. Might have to be a 15 in that price range.

Just get whatever latitude fits that budget, I've got an E4310 here and it's a good bit of kit.

The newer models have changed the styling to be more like HP, which I don't like, majority of people must though if that's the way they are going.

Matt, my company has got an account with Dell.

If you know which model you are after let me know and I'll see if I can get you a better price than retail.

How have you found the account to be compared to retail Sam?

If you're satisfied with poorly manufactured junk after spending Apple money on a laptop then

My dell Inspiron seems to break weekly which usually ends up in me loosing all my stuff. Massively frustrating.

Well I can get discounts on pretty much anything (except Inspiron stuff for some reason), any quote requests over £10k take forever to get qualified though.

It ain't poorly manufactured. I know the older xps was a bit shoddy but there is nothing wrong with these. It doesn't even have the dell wobbly screen. I'm over the moon with mine!

TBH with anything mass produced you are always going to get good examples and bad examples.

It's a shame you can't build your own laptops like you can desktop PCs.

If it has to be from Dell then XPS 15 / XPS L702 etc and max it out otherwise Alienware M14x (14.1" screen). The XPS's feel pretty sturdy from looking at them in the past, certainly my aging Inspiron has stood up well considering the abuse it gets.
As Sam said, you get good and bad examples with all hardware. Even, shock horror, Apple's
