I may be being baited or you're deluded

either way, tts all down to application; there are many points where GRP exceeds FRP tbh

Well Carbon is lighter, higher tensile and shear strength, less brittle...more flexible.
The only thing I can think of is, use it where you want more weight in a certain area or smaller cost.

oh Chinese CF or European CF just out of curiosity? Pre preg, Hand laid, 2:2 Twill, Woven, Glass backed, Kevlar backed, Vacuum Bagged, Resin Infused, RTM, RTM light, hand cut, drop stitched, laser profiled, Epoxy, Vinylester, Polyester, Autoclaved, air cured, heated tool??? blah blah blah

its not as simple as FRP is better than GRP but then I know nothing

Surely the resin you use is a massive factor as to how the component fails.
