I think all they would want to know is the value of the mods, and what diff it makes to the cars value.
If u put a high value they will probably bump your price well up.
Misses used to work for Swinton Insurance and she says it doesn't matter what
value u put on your car they will make up their own up when a claim is made and up to you to accept or query it.
Are they going to cover the mods or say if smashed or nicked they will put it back to standard..Ask them this. Some firms like to know about mods but won't pay out for them.

So don't bump the value of the car up too much.
Hope that help icy..

Don't know..
WHen I declared my mods, only induction kit, zorst, wheels and suspension declared I gave em a value
of 4.5k..My premium went up about £75 i think for this year.

If only cosmetic they probably won't put premium up (that much)..Take the basic
value of the car and add say 1k.
Doesn't matter because they make up there own mind anyway.Just don't bump it up too much.
My wheels are covered and get replaced with like if stolen not standard.

oh they might pay out a bit more or might not...

I said 4.5k in January 2003... I wouldn't expect them to pay this out though

If your boot price is 2.5k I would say about 3.5k to them.. Thay usually try to pay you off with
middle boot price.

I basically gave Adrian Flux my tech spec from my feature as well as having to send them photos of the car.
FC it was £1300 & would have got repaired to how it was in the feature

Icy mate.. Mav's spot on.. it dont matter what you value your car at, they make up their own descision if you make a claim.

For example.. my car was a valued at over £3k when i first insured it... what am i gonna get now thats its written off? Probly about £1.5k - £2k (Im with CIS as well)

For yours I would say bout 2k std. And about another 1K for the mods. AT LEAST.
Never know.. thye might deem it reasonable.
