Its been released because the hole they have used for this teathered jailbreak has been fixed in 4.3 i.e. they have nothing to loose in releasing it.

it also releases the presure for a 4.3 jailbreak. 4.3 doesn't really look to add much from what we have seen bar the Personal Hotspot which will be disabled in the UK unless you pay for it.

I got mine from the website in my original post.

Something else to note, Cydia is getting hammered and failing to install the app on most jailbreaks.
To get around this, you need to download redsn0w 0.9.6rc8, download a custom ipsw, run RS, load the IPSW, and simply select install cydia only.

RC5 was released to the masses (as a beta) but had a few issues (worked for me, but i had a few teething issues, didnt install cyida but did complete the JB). I did use redsn0w for cydia which then installed cydia fine.
After a reboot, cydia and safari was b0rked and i had to use redsn0w to do a tether boot (would fix the issues above), but it happened after every reboot.

Ive just used RC5-2 (windows release will be shortly) and simply ran the RC5-2 over everything using the wifes Mac and all is working as it should now.

installous looks really good as well.

My iphone 4 is already jailbroken on 4.1, If I update to 4.2 will it remove all the cydia stuff I have installed? Obviously will be jailbreaking it again once its update to 4.2.

Yes you will loose JB apps, I believe there is an app in Cydia to help you backup your JB apps but I think you have to pay

aptbackup and its free.

Make sure you put any of your sources in first before you restore.
