can't say i've ever noticed it, google for a 24 pin atx pinout and find out what pin is missing and what's it for. Although i would guess that it's probably a missing GND/Ground connection which isn't usually that important.

As i said before though, i'd get a cable converter for the 8pin atx socket next to the CPU and see if that sorts things.

Curious, my PSU is (or isn't as is the case) doing the exact same thing. Guy at work tested it with a multimeter and nothing. Plenty of circuits, just no voltage/power.

Nath not sure I follow - are you saying the PSU is outputting voltage correctly but the computer is still dead?

If so, check the capacitors on the motherboard, if the tops of them look swollen or one or more have leaked electrolyte then that is your problem (i.e. dead motherboard).

Not completely terminal though if that is the case, if you are good at soldering just buy some replacement caps and fit them, I did this to a motherboard recently and revived it once more.

No it's not outputting anything. It appears to be dead. I've emailed Novatech as I only bought it two weeks ago. Hoping they'll just swap for a new PSU or something.

Ahh right, yeah they'll just RMA your old one and when they get it back they'll send you out a new replacement.

Cool. Hopefully that'll sort it. Least I won't have to fork out for Windows 7 for a bit then

Unfortunately i have another issue

I have installed Windows 7 on the machine nopw but as soon as the Windows Loading screen appears after boot the screen goes blank?

Looks like there is an issue with VGA when booting into Windows

Any ideas?

you tried plugging it in to a regular monitor? It COULD be that the TV can't handle the resoloution of the graphics card. I know my Samsung at home can't handle anything higher then 1024x768

Try it on a monitor, I had this problem when I connected a computer to my TV. The TV and the computer don't "handshake" properly thus the computer outputs a resolution the TV cant handle.

I haven't read all the thread but if you've got Windows installed you can boot up into low-resolution mode (640x480 I think) and then change the resolution once you get in and the resolution will stick.

I think it's F8 on boot-up.

EDIT: You'll need Windows installed I imagine, as said connect it to a monitor and complete installation, then connect back to TV and do as I said above
