i recently purchased some 17 inch alloy wheels from ebay for my 2004 corsa C. I was told they came from a corsa B and would fit fine. The two back ones went on fine but the fronts were hitting the calipers so I was given some 3mm spacers to try which didnt fit. I am now told I need spacers between 9 and 9.5mm in order for the fronts to fit, plus I will need longer wheel bolts. Has anybody had problems like this and if so have any hlep or advise they could give me.

What size are your brakes?! 17" should easily fit over corsa calipers, bearing in mind i have the biggest vauxhall brakes that fit straight onto a corsa and they fit under 16" with ease. Which part is hitting the caliper? The inner face of the inside of the rim?

I've got a corsa C, and all I was told is they are hitting the caliper.

Try and get some pictures of it and it might help explain it better. They shouldnt hit the caliper though as unless the rim is like 2" thick there should be plenty of clearance.

No, just asked them regarding the fronts as I've had problems with them.

When you are putting them on can you see where they catch?

All I could see is that they were catching on the caliper, and that's all the garage said also, so
as you can see I'm back to square one.

I will have a look to see if it shows the offset on the wheels before I go to halfords tomorrow
