i had mine done at r-tec in st albans.
cost £120 to do the rears or something like that.
they cut away the plastic inner arch to make room for the tyre then seal it all back up. - as far as i'm aware

£25..... where from? also fcuk it, im gonna do it my self. im gonna get a hard ball on a handle and heat up the arch with a hair dryer, then im gonna fun the ball along the bottom edge of the arch in side. and hopfully if i put enough pressure on it the arch will move out slightly, just enough for the wheel to miss. and if the hair dryer is good enough the paint wont crack. fingers crossed ay!

A hairdryer is not going to be hot enough to make the metal change shape!

The best way to do rear arches is to take off the plastic outer arch, with a sharp blade cut the inner lip off so its flat, then take the threaded clips off.Replace the clips with speed clips for self tapping screws. then cut back the matal part of the arch to just below the holes that the clips go through. Then fasten the plastic arches back on with 10mm self tappers.

Got mine done for £30! Rear arches were ground to clear the tyre as the plastic was shaving the sidewalls! The metal lip was flushed into the back of the plastic arches which were bonded on & all the heads were buffed off the bolts. Only a slight rub on the n/s/r over bumps but it's the bolt nearest the middle which is living on borroed time! The fronts were gouging the sholders, this was cured by removing the stud which retains the arch with a grinding wheel and squeezing sillicone between the arch & inner wing to stop it falling off!

No they will be fine.On my old SRi i did that. It was lowered 40mm on 17s and it didnt scrub once after i did the arches like that. You only need to do the back if your not going lower than 50mm on 17s.

ow right, cheers lads! so i got an offset of et37 with 16 oz wheels and wanna lower 40mm at the back. so if i cut the arch up to the screw holes and trim the black arch with a blade then it shouldnt rub. Fingers croosed ay, it shouldnt though hopefully!
