well unfortunately my gsi was wrote off last night due to some arsehole pulling out on me at the last second wen it was pissing down and caving in the front end of my corsa, as he was driving a land rover all he has is a loose front bumber and minor scrapes
to say the least im gutted as i only just got it back from the garage friday after spending loads getting work done on it
im guessing the insurance will write it off due to the cost of repairs, and tbh i dont know if its worth doing, i will take some pics later for you guys to see
my kneck is pretty sore and have huge lump on the back off my head, been to doctors and told its just minor wiplash. was awarded compensation of £500 straight up and accepted this as i cant be arsed with court and claiming, so £500 seems fair to me.
now all i got to do is wait for the accident repair centre to collect the car and see what happens from there
Gutted

Props to you for being honest enough taking what you think you deserve in compensation and not just holding out for more for the sake of it. Unlucky about the car, any chance you could buy it back and repair it?

daveslim yes it happend yesterday afternoon on my way in from work. as for geting comp so soon we are both with the same insurance company and they have been pretty quick dealing with the case.
just been called again and car is being picked up by accident repair centre tomorow during the day
suppose i could of held out for more compo but tbh i think 500 is fine to be given straight up and dont realy want to mess around with solicitors and the likes

in my opinion the will write it off strait away as the damage looks to be far more than the book price of the car
so i will be on the hunt got another Corsa GSi or a Nice nova

gutted for you mate i know how you must feel, my car was written off by some lown not understanding that a red light and stopped car's means stop and not slam your foot on the throttle and plow into you,
A claim of 500 is total crap mate, i have stil got whip lash and restrcted movement and thats 8 months on.. Getting 2.5k myself which is a reasonable amount, but im going to court now as the blokes insurance is refusing to pay the last 120 of the physio...

i would of held out, thats why the offered you it straight up i would say. I had a rear end shunt a couple of years back not really any hassle with solicitors and settled out of court for 2.7K and that was minor whiplash and then they paid the physio as extra. Hope your ok though mate, shame about the car

So even though he thinks that the money he got was enough he should have held out for more? That's why insurance is so expensive, all these crybabies and ambulance chasers taking cash for nothing.

no what i am saying is the insurance offered to quick, my whiplash played up for over a year and all i started with is a sore neck in the morning. he should of waited a few days to ensure it didnt get any worse !!
