they are re-surfacing the main road near mine....
where i live you need to go down a one way road, and they've blocked access to it 
basically, they are doing work on the main road, they are doing the side closest to the one way road near mine, so it's all coned and fenced off, and you cant turn left to get to the oneway road, to get to mine..

it's fucking stupid, especially on a saturday night

i'd just go down the wrong way on your road. you have no choice

there's only enough room for one car to fit down the oneway road, it's also fairly long. so if a car did come you'd be fucked, car's double parked both sides, so no where to pull in at all usually

Better to do the works on a weekend than on a weekday though, with rush hour traffic.
