i think people expect to much from corsa etc and forget there just a cheap hatchback but still good fun for the money they cost and can be made better.

i used to work for ford for 5 years and in that time i have only ever seen a hand full of escorts come through the door,
they are as reliable as any other car tbh just depends on how they have been treated in the past,
full leather pack in a must as they are so comphy, just if you can get one then get a rs2000 and ditch the egr as they get more bhp.
the early GTi had the 1.8 zetec lump in it and they will go on forever if they are loooked after

i think i can say more than most people about what i've seen get put through to customers of ford
not good, and these are 2009/2010 engines
ford quality has improved a lot though, so much so that we are now in line with german marques, if not better.

But a bog spec 1 series would cost probably the same as a top spec focus.

My mate had one a good few years ago.. It flt slow but seamed to go alright. He didnt have much bother apart from it spitting the diff out the back of the box.

My mate had one too.
Pretty much the same as the one Kano posted but the diamond cut version of those wheels.
Half leather. decent spec as standard but underpowered for what it is.
As said, Rs2000's are getting cheap. I'd go for one of them, Vast improvment.

Get an rs2000, the extra power and lsd make it a much better car, my mates had 6 upto now (a couple were bought to break).

Very smart looking car Gregor. Did you keep the wheels so I could buy them from you for ten pounds?
