Should an extended warranty cover a snapped coil spring or would it be classed as a wear and tear item?

That'll be wear and tear.
Going back a few years now my inlaws bought a 306 dturbo from a dealer, it was a couple of years old and one of the coils snapped after about a few months and that wasn't covered.

It all depends on the t&c's.
