Great little cars, loved them. 1.4 8v was good for 100bhp and easily kept up witha 16v GSi... How they would fair now with mileage and age im not so sure.

Only thing that hugely puts me off is 3 bolt wheel nuts (after watching one try to go Swimming on Southend seafront). Fair play he did have 17"s on the bugger though, and it was the ball joint that failed.

Still, bloody quick little cars for a 1.4 engine, I doubt as a NA engine u'll find much quicker.

That can be changed very easily, all saxo/106 hubs will fit it, and the 3 stud brakes are horrible, so Id be converting to 4 stud right away, along with a VTS/GTi disk back axle.

My bro had a gunmetal grey one with compomotives on when i was about 11.always wanted it as it had alot of work done to it,but he sold it just before i turned 15
