i got pulled without a tax disc in the past. just forgot to put it in. never had any trouble with it

i ordered mine on thursday and it arrived today. it says on the site they give you a grace period of 5 days after the old tax disc has expired if you can prove you've paid for it. you get a reference number saying you've paid so you can just quote that if you get into any trouble

I paid my tax 27 days late, police chap pulled me over i admitted it to him and he wasnt that assed!

probably because it isn't the police that end up doing you for it, its the DVLA isn't it?

NAh you don't, if you get a fine from a ticket warden, you send it back with proof you bought it before, didn't have the disc, so nothing to display.

they will know the exact time etc when you bought it.

im sure it says on the tax disc site to print recipt off or something. its what i normally do and keep in glove box till disc arrives.
