Hi guys,

The cavalier is coming off the road this winter as its needing some work done to it plus the time has come for me to get another car for work, so had a look around and its looking like im going to opt for a Corsa C with the 1.7 diesel engine, problem is I know next to nothing about the C, this its the 00-03 range, guessing this is before the facelift.

anybody able to provide information on them and this particular engine? like what to look for, what goes on them etc. etc.

Steering racks are common, then just the normal stuff. Why a 1.7? 1.3 is an amazing engine and there £35 tax..

diesel power and all that, never knew there was a 1.3 engine, was that fitted in the later ones?

1.3 is a good engine but if you can stretch go for the 1.7CDTI

In 00-03 range, it'll either be a 1.7Di or 1.7DTi engine.

1.7dti and di, not izuzu lumps are they? I'd probably want to go for the later cdti's myself, think the 1.3 is quicker than the old 1.7's?

Yeah they are I think.

1.3 is on par with 1.7DTi.

thanks guys, had a look into the 1.3's, think ill go for one of them instead.
