You want a 1.0 Corsa B or something with a small engine, anything like an SXI or a sport model of any kind will be bad on insurance.

im fine for insurance because i put the details for a 1.2 sxi in under my mothers insurance and it was cheap enough im just talking about the choice as a car

remember someone who had one of them, heap of shit it was.
B shape is 93-2001
C shape 2001 - 56?
The C isn't a bad car, but I'd say a B is a better first time car, cheap to run, cheap to insure, cheap to buy so if you do bin it after you pass it's not as bad as writing a few year old car off. Try both out and see what you prefer.
I always wanted a C, so I sold my B and got one, wish I'd kept the B tbh. SXi's aren't bad spec - I'm sure some don't come with electric windows though.
