Which photos are you looking at?
Can't do a multiquote so will reply all in one.
The wheels are dark on the top photos because they are covered in brake dust, they still are. They are on an extended test . Those two photos were taken in Italy I believe a few weeks ago about 4k miles into the test.
The body work is standard, the stickers, advertising. It went round europe for 3 weeks. In times like this you use all media available, including the car. The flocked wheels are part of a durability test. The wheels underneath are standard, what other bits didn't you like?
Dashboard: No one else does a two tone shimmer like this in the UK, or world. Hence why it was done to show what is possible. Obviously reduces glare in windscreen, main reason people have it done.
Doorcards: Done to match the sparco blue which will soon adorn the new bucket seats. Also cuts reflection to side windows
Rocker cover: To show heat durability
Arch liners: Durability once again, aethetics (they were 10 years old and dull) and to show ease of cleaning
Wheels: Advertising stunt plus durability test.
I have other sets of wheels, just for you a picture from last month and a few others

Once again with the stickers its a jap thing, being symetrical etc etc. Also, allows you to flip pictures without any hassle
Also my other wheels have AO48's on them, they wouldn't last the trip and would have been a waste of £600 of tyres.

The 2 pics with the mountains in the background. It also looks so much better without the stickers. Was it hard to flock them bits, equipment expensive? did a good job on the flocking.

Yeah that was mainly due to the position of the sun, we were taking pictures here and there but the wheels are literally black atm. Sticker are mainly just advertising. If I had a 2nd or 3rd car then it wouldn't be an issue but you have to make do with what you have.
Anything with an inside corner is hard and you really need an air assisted machine to get round this easily. Equipement cost depends on machine spec but I do it as a business so the costs get absorbed.
Rich, yes I am. I've been expanding. Nad's Automotive Developments is the new business its all coming under now. Hard times = need to expand and diversify.
Tbh the paint correction is ok but its bloody boring in comparison to flocking and with so many people flooding the market and undercutting its not worth it much any more.

From the Hull area btw.

Amazingly when the tyres were changed, the Goodyears didn't damage the flock at all which suprised me. The Bridgestone are a lot tighter and pulled a small section off but tbh, we expected it to rip it all off!
Jamezz, does the logo look the same? If so could you get a pic. I've only had the logo out for a short time, that got around fast.

Edit: Just found these of another set I've done for an R32 track car.

Yeah ill get a Pic next time i see it. The guy owns a Bike shop not too far from me. The evo looks like a die hard track car.. (Cage, no seats, ally fuel tank in the back, huge brakes, Semi-slicks) the works really. If the logo doesnt say Nads, its something fairly similar looking. Pretty sure it says Time attack across the sunstrip.

Why not. Orginally it was done as an advertising stunt but to show what is possible. After that it was then used as a durability test. The R32 owner fancied being the second car in the world with flocked wheels
They clean up really easily, a lot easier than a painted wheel so on track use with all the brake dust, a quick blast and they're clean.
I'm doing my white multispoke wheels soon, because I've got tired of spending ages cleaning them.
Video of one of the initial cleaning tests.

The type of flocking that I do is electrostatic using a nylon based flock. Each fibre is normally about 1mm long by 3.3dtex thick, thinner than a human hair. These are loaded into a hopper which has a mesh opening.
You apply a glue, in my instance a 3 part epoxy resin, to a substrate. The glue is then earthed and the hopper is sent a positive charge. When the hopper is passed over the earthed substrate an electostatic field is created and it draws the fibres into the glue. Due to the way the field happens, it aligns all the fibres the same way, making them stand end up in the glue.
The actual process is harder than it looks but isn't everything. Price is dependant on part size, colour and complexity. On more complex stuff it is cheaper than trimming and in some instances items can't be trimmed that can be flocked. I've recently done some indicator stalks for a Mk3 Golf that went on to win best of show. On a roof lining though, it would be cheaper and far faster to trim it.
An average dash board is about £120.

That's something else that needs updating with the new logo but may be changing brake setup so not sure yet. If I do will try and get some plain calipers and get them engraved.
