Everyone i looked into was shite, could not claim for fuck all and with most insurance they have every angle coverd so you cant claim....
Just put the money in the bank...

I totally disagree!
When I bought my car I took out a warranty with Warranty Direct KNOWING that the DRC would fail on my car! After 3 months it did fail, I put in a claim and Warranty Direct paid to have the DRC replaced with coilovers (they were quite happy with this as it was half the price and will last twice as long) So that was a successful £2k claim!
When my thermostat went last month, the work was done by a few of us and put through my mates garage. Fair enough they didnt pay for the waterpump and belts that I put on while it was in bits but they did pay for the stat and 8 hours labour!
Ive just renewed last month for the same price as I paid last year even after nearly £3k worth of claims! Not worth the paper its written on? What you paper are you writing on? 
You will find its a lot of people have never even had an aftermarket warranty that say they are rubbish!
