Door leaks are common but it's a quick seal fix. Boot leak is only the wiper hose popping off. Running costs aint too bad. Pads and discs can be pricey. Tyres can be had for £65 a corner. Mine doesn't use a drop of oil between services. 10K service intervals but I never reach these anyway. Just had my 40K service and the car is on 15K. Plugs and other items can be sourced off the net cheaply. Just the usual cambelt/pump changes that can be costly £250-£350 ontop of each 40/60K service or every 4/5 years. No different to other 1.8 VAG cars using the same engine.

The 1.8 Turbs never get good mpg, doesn't matter how you drive it

Yeah they do! Most people I know with them get 30mpg+

I didn't I averaged 27mpg in mine. The best I ever got was 37mpg and that was driving at 60mph from Kent to Cornwall.

What Ben is trying to say is that the MPG you can achieve in them is brilliant, when compared with his ST

I loved my LCR and miss it a bit. Mine went like a dream if i'm honest. Never had 1 bit of bother out of it.

It was bloody quick as well 269bhp/266lbft goin through the front wheels. Was quick enough to keep on par with a mates old Evo fq300.

It eats front tyres but thats to be expected on a powwerful fwd car and it'll cost you £300+ for a good pad/disc replacement.

I got 27mpg out of mine and that was mixed driving, seen 37mpg on the dash on the way up from wales sitting at 70-75mph which is superb from a 270bhp car.

I would have another tbh.

yeah that's what i meant my average mpg over 200 miles has been 17.4mpg so 25-30mpg seems amazing

had an averidge of 14 mpg after a spirited drive though so they can be thirsty.
