Anyone done the old heat gun trick on faded arches?
seen vids on youtube and im tempted to buy some faded ones from the scrap yard and use a heat gun on them.

thats why you ether spend a fortune putting back to black or similar products on them for ages, orrr
you spray them satin black and hey last for years..

Mine where faded when I had my corsa. All i used was the autoglym bumper care on them and they went back to black. Just had to keep on top of them.

my arches are black but need replacing because some clips have snapped and the only ones i can find are faded ones in the scrap yard and was thinking of getting some and using the heat gun on them to get them nice and black and still put my black 2 black stuff on.

to get them looking black just spray them matt black...works a treat and once done, you can spray over any stone chips/scratches etc because you get a flawless finish
plus it's £2 a can from the market...i used 2 primer and 2 matt black

i used the heat gun trick and had a video from back in 2006.worked brilliant for about 11 months then they faded again.best off getting some and spraying them matt black or similar

£21 inc VAT each from vaux, just bought two new fronts for mine, have to buy the plastic nuts for them seperate tho which are 48p each
