Talk as in to go there or talk it over the net? If you want them dialing in then you need an RR.

At the end of the day, the cam determines the valves. That in turn determines the airflow into the engine.

I pray I don't need to simplify it beyond that?

You'd do better answering his question than praying.

Yes, the fact cams determine the airflow into the engine in no way answers his question.

Setting cams up, power gains, how it will run without mapping is not answered by 'they determine airflow into the engine'.

How the fuck do you answer an infinite question you fucking bellend?

You don't know naff all about the engine, assuming it is standard you know the stroke and bore, assuming the head is standard you can have a vague guess at the airflow. He has posted NOTHING about cam profiles, ramp angles, lift etc. Therefore you know FUCK ALL about static/dynamic flow.

He has posted fuck all on this thread of any use, much like yourself.

If you are too simple to grasp the fact that my post was as generic as his question then you really should not bother posting on this sort of thread.

I'm that simple that he will be talking about a 1.6 corsa and I can also guarantee 100% that he doesn't gaf about static and dynamic airflow.

You've tried to act smart and instead look like an idiot.

lol, the internet is funny

as for the actual question, ideally you would set your cams up to the manufacturers recommended lift at TDC figures using a dial gauge, which should get you somewhere in the ball park, then when you get the car on the rollers you can do a few runs and dial them about a bit on the vernier pullies to see if your particular engine wants something different from the manufacturers specs, which can happen dependant on compression/head work/lots of things, but it wont be miles away from the original specs

hope that helps, didnt need to know your static or dynamic flow rates or anything
