Not sure these days, the service I recieve from Vauxhall dealerships is appaling.
I now take my car 60 miles out of my way to have warranty work and servicing done but that is due to warranty.
If it was out of warranty I would do it myself and keep the receipts.

It isn't necessarily the higher value you get, it's more about it being easier to sell on as people are more confident in it and you.

My book has no stamps but loads of receipts from an independant garage. Done it myself this year. Doesn't really bother be that much because it's a nigh on 10 year old small hatchback
