I'm currently watching some alloys on ebay and they are going quite cheap but need a refurb as first of all they have been sprayed black, and i want them silver and secondly theres a few scuffs.

Could any one give me some names of different places that do the refurb?
Also iv heard about baking the alloys in a oven, but theres lots of mobile companies around now so im sure they wouldnt be able to bake them due to only having equipment thats in the van itself?

So could some one shed some light and suggest a few different places that do a good job?

Would Appreciate it!

BJV engineering in Hemel do wheel refurbishment!

Im planning on sending the gfs there next month for sorting!

There is also Pristine Wheels in Woburn Sands, but i personally found them very expensive for a pretty crap job.

If you're thinking about getting yours done Nic, I'd personally want to get them checked to ensure they're not buckled etc and still structurally sound.

One of the worst ones I've seen fixed actually is Daveskaters after he bounced off a kerb with one of his Softstars.

AFAIK liquid metal on bigger chunks, filler on smaller ones. I think.

But yeh as I say with yours I'm not sure I'd trust them after the impact they had, then the kind of use they get...

do them your self its simple mate do one at a time and take your time nitromours them back to the bear alloy and then get a brass brush on the end of a drill to blast it all off then just dry them all off and start to primer and just do what you normally do when painting but just take your time
