Don't think imports need them unless they are aged over 1998, dont quote me on it tho. Also mot most know that too.

I had a uk version registered sept 1993 and it had to pass CAT emissions. As far as I know as turbos are all imports and don't have a UK equivalent to test against even after '93 they can get away with no CAT. Your '92 should be fine.
