had my astra for 2weeks now and came to the conclusion they aint what i was expecting. The gearboxs aint the best when putting the foot down and changing quick, seams to crunch sumtimes. Electrics seam to be rather sh!t so my trip computer has just sorted its self after telling me i had o miles for 2days,front fog lights dont work just put the key in the ignition ten min ago and it never started took it back out and put it in again then it stated. The suspention aint to bad but the back end went out yesterday on a roundabout i could have swore i was driving the bmw was realy light(was booting it tho but still expected better). Then the power stearing did not work one day dono what went rong there, so had the car 2weeks and i have never so much problems with one car in so little time fair enuff little problems but still not impressed. cant wait till my gf can insure it and i can go and get a old car get less problems with it

If you get the back end out without deliberately trying you can't drive either.

There crap to drive, terrible power for what they are..

The trip computer problem your having will be becuase your just putting £5 or £10 in a time. It doesnt register small amounts. Put at least £20 in and it will update fine.

our CDTi SRi is giving us no problems, sounds like you've just bought a bad one...

Aye, I had use of one for a while, just felt flat and similair to the 1.8's. Nothing like the power delivery of a VXR or the Diesels..

1.7's are good engines, if I wasn't fussed about the power I would have one. 200bhp with loads of torque is addictive though..

well coming from a 12v corsa b anything is fast but the astra works out cheaper to run and insure for me, would like to of gone for the 1.9 cdti but couldnt find one with the exterior pack.
