well, i treated it to a wash and gave it a polish with some poorboys products that a friend has got. am most definitely impressed with the results...looks stunning.

Got a few photos...not the best location but i didnt have time to get to a properly decent one im afraid. and its on my lil samsung cam, not my SLR, so most of the ones i took are blurry and i couldnt put up which is annoying. ah well...

feel free to drop opinions.

im unsure on ride height...what do people think. it handles amazingly tbh, superbly balanced, responsive and plenty of warning in terms of things going wrong. But, i cant help thinking the back is too high. I dont like the 60mm+ and with this being 50mm (wit no weight in the back) i think a spare wheel will do the job to get the back down a little...

Does look uneven.

Would heightening the front not work? coilovers up front would straighten it out.

Though, looking at it again, the front looks bang on, rear needs to drop a touch.

yea i like the front as is...its the back that needs to go down.

okay well once the engine is sorted and all that, i will look into getting maybe some 60mm rears.

adam-d wants to get some coilovers for his, so maybe have his bilstein rears off him as they are about 60mm and his sits better than mine!

Very nice example mate. I'd leave it excatly the height it is. Has it still got the 8v in?

has for the moment...but im afraid that an XE is on the way in the next few weeks. Am sick of the 8v letting me down power-wise. the bottom end is hammered, and so although the top end wants to rev, its dragging the bottom end along kicking and screaming. Its lazy through the revs and so it was £500 for a bottom end rebuild to my spec, or £600 for philip2 to rebuild me an XE....i did the math. Especially as the XE is gonna give me a much better powerbase to start with.

But tbh, the 8v has been great, and never let me down...and taken a fucking hammering as well!

Eck - i agree, and thats the last thing i wanna do. With a cage on the way, a spare in the back and maybe some pressure out the rear tyres, it should sit better eventually....
