How are other online forums affected by people using the sites as online dating forums?
I've never used SSC, but Mig, Vauxweb, etc don't have anything of the sort.
Maybe the average age of the Corsa owner is lower and there is a higer percentage of mixed gender users on a Corsa forum than say Mig where there are probably more Cavalier owners than Corsa ones (basing my presumption on there are more female Corsa drivers than there are Cavalier drivers).
So is this phenomenon more down to the demographics of the users rather than the subject matter?

He drives lots of cars, most noteable the Supra, the Panda and the green Corsa.
Vauxhall claim the colour is "Caribic Blue", which we all know is green.

I totally agree with Donna and Daimo on this one.
There are loads of ppl that only post in Modification and not General chat, but I try and post in both as it helps build the Corsa community which is only a good thing.
What the site needs less of is attention seekers, time waters, ppl posting pointless replies (aren't the Mods worried about wasting so much server space on rubbish?)
I love the threads like Muchies face etc, but the stuff which is better suited to MSN is what my problem is with. It pushes better threads down the board so they can't be seen by all the users, which is a bit unfair as ppl who don't sit on here all day can't read all the good stuff.
I think Mig's Mig Tourque is a good idea, but I think it can be avoided here is ppl just think before they post rubbish.
I do like laughing at every female threads though - how many blokes reply!
Can't believe this thread is still on topic. It still waved a little bit - which is my point.
A good discussion is a good thing - arguing isn't.

Exactly! I try to spend just as much time in Help n Mod as i do in Gen Chat, i browse through all the different pages on this website (i.e Help, Classifieds etc). You can say that 0% of the females on here really post in there, would never psot there, because (and im not being nasty) most females just don't know anything about the cars. Donnas excusse is she just can't b arsed and aint interested in that bit
But, theres only a few people that post in help n mod as well as in here. Kindess, Dogs_bollox, etdf (i know theres more).
Most of the people that post sh1te all day never post in help n mod!!!!!!!

You've got to ask why use this website as a chat room?
Surely MSN is better as it's real time, more private, doesn't waste server space, doesn't get in the way of other visitors etc.
It's good to have a community, but what has happended to General Chat over the last few months isn't cery constructive in that respect.
Do these people know there is an Instant Chat applet available? Its stupid to see theres only a couple pf peeps in there, but pages of chat in the forum!
I don't mind whoever joins CS, but girls just wanting to chat to boys, or anyone just messing about cos there bored posting useless threads is an annoyance by the minority to the majority.
