Check on Yell mate for a local dealer - they usually sell without fitting.

I saw them on google earlier and I mailed them. They said £ 150 for the alarm and £ 25 shipping to me. Good price???
The one on ebay I was looking at was TOAD ALARM But yer man isn't replying to my mails and I'm sick of waiting...

Is £ 150 a decent price?

Erm, not in my opinion no.

What option did you go for? Shipping price is extortionate.

Didn't purchase yet.. Be the basic Ai606 Toad alarm I presume.. I'm used to paying stupid prices on shipping.. Some places can be great and offer low/decent shipping prices and other places take out the vaseline when they hear your in southern Ireland.. Don't know what to do, need to get one soon..

surely theres an alarm place near you who will supply and fit?

you will need a certificate of installation for your insurance anyway!

I have a feeling the muppet you may have spoken to on the phone was purely trying to get some more ££ out of you on the basis they would class it as a retail sale rather than an internet order.

On the site all orders over £25 are shipped free of charge, however the ai606 is listed as a install only product on their site. They sell the sterling on there though.

The Ai606 is everywhere:

I probably reckon if you entered your postcode on ebay and do the distance check... you will find one within a 20 min drive of you

Oops just read your in Southern Ireland

Might be a bit harder then but I'm sure you will find an ebay seller to help you.

How soon do you need it? Worst comes to worst if you struggle sometime next week I could possibly get one locally and ship it over to you?

Just ordered it from Uplands Car Radios.. Seem genuine and have been around since 1979.. Got the alarm for 90 odd pound and dual microwave & shock sensors and shipping all in for 160 pound.. Fairly happy at that..

Received the alarm yesterday. Would recommend Uplands Car Radios for all your Alarm & ICE needs.. Very reasonable prices and excellent sales staff. I dealt via e-mail and got fast replies. Even after getting the alarm I mailed them to see if they had fitting instructions and they said Toad don't supply them as they are only to be fitted by TOAD but they got onto there Cardiff branch and sent me a PDF file of fitting instructions.. Sorted
