Same at first, but look at the time of launch and then when he hits 60. It takes about 6 secs, if done accurately it might be in the 5s even.

Just because it's got 300bhp and might be capable of sub 5 sec 0-60s doesn't mean that the driver will do that with it. It could have 300 brake but a shite driver basically.

i have a bit mroe power and i doubt i get to 50 much quicker than 5 and a bit. maybe its too much power not enough grip?

it's front wheel drive, you're not going to get any decent 0-60 times out of it.

in gear acceleration is where it's at.

yeah, as nic said probably not enough grip.

for arguments sake lets say an EP3 is about the same as a DC2 off the mark and despite a 110hp difference that civic doesn't look particularly quick compared to mine from a standing start at least. no doubt from a rolling start the civic'll have mine over a barrel though!

hmmmmmmm , through the revs in first its making the same noise mine does when its spinning. though after 1st the revs sound alot smoother. who knows

speedo goes up gradually to suggest it isnt wheel spinning that much even in 1st. unless the wheel speed sensor is taken off a rear wheel, it should be flying about all over the shop and the revs, yet the rev counter goes up gradually aswell and isnt knocking the needle off the limiter at all.

therefore id conclude it isnt wheelspinning that much at all, either due to it not being that powerful, or that its just slow.
