^ That's true. I assumed vagcom was being used. Those little bright red hand held readers are shite.

They bought a laptop out and was getting the faults from that. It could be a split hose... I suppose I gotta take bumper off as Brett said and have a look.. whats the easiest way to find it lol?

Before considering splits I'd just check all the pipes are connected properly and tight.

You should post on Audi-sport tbh. Takes longer for an answer but they do know what they're talking about. Some good people on there.

I know it involves a bycycle pump and somehow blanking off where your airbox would be, would be unsafe to do it without a boost guage to moniter how much pressure your putting in though

pipe to intercooler collapses on remapped cars. could have gone weak. Remove the pipe from TB to intercooler and have a good check of it. Common failure

Its a coilpack for deffo.

The EML will come on when its on boost but it wont show up a fault on VAGCOM.

Could also be coilpack. Easy way to check, start car and unplug one at a time, if engine revs and sound dips, thats not faulty. Keep going til you undo one and it doesnt change the sound. We had this problem. Id recommend changing the lot tho if its a faulty pack.

Not always the case we lost one and had no EML or fault codes. However we did have a decat so when a huge flame came out the back it was rather obvious it was overfuelling......

doubt it mate, the turbos are too small to maintain peak boost at high revs. I had the collapsing pipe issue, replaced it with SFS jobbie, got told it happens a lot with high boost remaps on VAG's.

edited to say this was going back 4 years tho, dont know what engine he has, im on about AGU varient from the A3, but still similar issues
