if i buy a lockset for a 1ltr 12v 2000 model corsa do i need the ecu aswell or can i re-programme the original ecu to the transponder?

I think you need the ecu too mate

EDIT

Surely if you have your original transponder and ecu in the car, you can get the kep programmed to it?

if you buy a new lockset then you would need to use the chip from the old key, if you dont have that you would need to go to vauxhall and have it programmed, if its a second hand lockset then you will need the key with the chip and the ecu that was on the car
