ok i know this is in the general chat and must be in the help, but i need a fast reply, as my mate is stuck on the m62....

his 2.0 8v corsa b has broken down, the rev limiter shot up without pressing the accelerator and then the car wont turn on..... and ideas? it ticks over but doesnt start

On a serious note, it sounds like the idle speed controller has either fallen off the bottom of the inlet, is stuck open or a pipe has come off.

Id be checking the inlet side of things. Sounds like an air leak or similar.
