I passed a red one when I was out test driving mine and even my dad liked it in red.
They also had a red vxr racing one at the garage which looked lovely.

The red on the Astra is a new red and is a lot better than the Corsa red, it's darker and doesn't look orange in photos.

im suprised nobody has mentioned the sound of the astra vxr, one booted it past me at a cash machine and as soon as the turbo spooled up the exhaust note was awsome

get and astra for sure. i played with a corsa from 20mph-way over 3 figures and after 60mph the corsa went backwards which is to be expected with the smaller capacity engine.

astra is far nicer in all aspects. although an arctic corsa vxr looks mean as hell on the roads at night.

With Janspeed springs the Corsa looks lovely, sits far to high as standard.

It's what the Astra J is based on, along with a whole host of other GM cars. The current Astra VXR has the Delta I platform.

From Wiki...

"Delta II is General Motors' future compact car platform, and is the successor to the GM Delta platform. Internally it is simply known as a new Global Compact Vehicle Architecture or GCV.

[edit] Applications
Production vehicles based on Delta II platform:

2009 Chevrolet Cruze/Daewoo Lacetti Premiere/Holden Cruze[1]
2010 Opel Astra (and Vauxhall/Chevrolet variants)
Announced production vehicles to be based on Delta II platform:

2011 Chevrolet Volt
2011 Opel Zafira (and Vauxhall/Chevrolet variants)
2012 Buick sedan[2]
2012 Chevrolet Orlando
Potential vehicles to be based on this platform:

Opel Ampera
Saab 9-1X
Saab 9-3[3]"

Astra

Corsa is too small, girly, and people jsut laugh. I also see bloody loads on the road.

Astra - Don't see many round here at all (PLENTY of ST's though). its quicker, bigger, can fit shopping, its more square, therefore more manly Can get more power, more proven upgrades already, more space, bigger brakes.

Anyway.........exclusivity doesnt bother me really
