Do they suffer much from constant track abuse??

Whats good brake/suspension components for track use? The AP's on the Cooper S Works GP look quite good?

i had works setup with some decent pads and it was fine, they don't suffer no, i just never felt i could push a 11k car round a track that had hardly a mark on it. But saying that it was probably the best car i've drove on track so far. And only the early ones have gearbox issues.

They are great out of the tin very well set up and you can pick up Cooper S's for the 5-6k mark which is Clio 182/Integra money. Plus much more tunable for the £££

e.g Cams remap tb's for a Clio will cost in the region of 3k for a DIY kit you'll see 240 bhp at most without a forged bottom end

Mini with a smaller pulley wheel and sticky belt, full exhaust system, remap and GRS FMIC you are looking at 230-260 bhp and shit loads more torque and it'll cost in the region of 1500 with IMO is great VFM.

Also with sorted suspension such as KW or ASt's ey are pretty handy....after all the they have their own Mini Challenege Cup series ( I have been lucky to see some being prepped by Mark Fish)

That yellow one above has a Carbon front clam, safety devices cage, KW coilovers and 230 bhp and gave a 997 911 Carrera S a pasting out of Clearways and the main straight!

Put standard ones from Aldi in and it'll do 20 mins easily. Fuck knows why.

The batteries I 'borrow' from work seem to be ok, we'll find out soon enough as I have only used it for about 30 minutes so far since I bought it!

Fad I saw that Mini at Brands tonight, I thought it had been in a front ender to start with
