Most motorbikes have them as standard, I wonder why car manufacturers dont fit them as standard.

I got a an ECS one from awesome for £11.50.
Not sure what else they fit (standard thread?) but ok on a 1.8T.

Because bikes rev over 10,000 rpm, some up to 19,000 rpm and the engine oil is shared with the gearbox and clutch so there are a lot more metal fragments floating about so a magnetic drain plug will help out considerably.
Waste of time on a road car.

Peugeot gearboxes have them.
Always find chunks of metal when Ive removed the plug on any peugeot gearbox, weak, shitty metal ftl.
