I did 50 motorway miles on red light before it ran out, thats driving like a complete fanny though. (1.4 16v)
I'd assume normal driving in the red light will get you around 20 miles.

Just fart in a 1.0 and then you've got another 20 miles in the tank, sorted.

My old 1.2 8v corsa didnt have a petrol light. The clocks without a rev counter which is the same as yours as a guess?

My old non-rev counter clocks didn't have a light, but my current ones with a rev counter have a light in.
I left it on the red light for ages until the needle was about 1/2 a mm away from the bottom end of the red bit then got a bit worried
Think it was about 30 miles or so with all kinds of driving, but keeping it under 3k rpm
Numberwang!
