getting my garrett t28 refurbed next week. they want £100 extra to hybrid it. is it worth getting it done. they say it will have a lot more mid range. anyone had it done?

its a more complicated question than your asking....
What are they changing? Who is doing the work? Are they supplying you with details of the hybrid (boost threshold, efficiency etc)
How much is the complete rebuild + plus 'upgrade' coming to? Is it near the price of a new uprated turbo?

Hybrid just basicalymeans custom, so it depends on what parts they are customising.
I'd rather up-rated seals and better bearing

turbo force in lancs are doing it for me. heard nothing but good things about them. need to have a proper chat with them really then dont . ts 240 for the re build then 100 on top of that to do whatever it is they do. something about cut back blades. not really a turbo person. this s the first one i have had
