Box with the red thing in is the battery box, airbox is in the arch. Pipe down to the bumper is just placed there, was in the arch facing backwards on the end of some huge resonator looking thing.

Not sure whether to keep it as-is and replace the feed in the arch, or try and mod the box for a pipe from the grill, or just throw a cone on.

If I put a cone on, not sure whether to leave the battery box in as a heat sheild or something. Cone would be easier and lighter...

On a serious note, cone. Why make work for yourself unnecessarily?

Run a pipe round the back of the light and in to the box, and have it coming out from the grille. A mate had a cone filter on his puma and it was awfull, he took it off in the end.

Yeh my mate with the Puma engined Fiesta had a cone for a while but ditched it as it was awful.

He went back to the airbox but can't remember where the air feed went. I'll ask him. Unless you can tell from this:

is the inner arch completely solid? if not, could you not somehow fit a cone filter in there and seal the top then cut out the red section so it gets a decent air feed

Rip all the plastic shit out, relocate the battery to the boot & get a bit of pipe made up with a cone on the end as far to the right and down into the wheel arch as possible?

When you get the new Battery, we can locate that in the boot like Colin said then there will be plenty of space to mess around with a cone or a new box

how about like the picture rich posted but have the cone enclosed inside the airbox, but cut the bottom of the airbox away?
