Right i had a problem with my powersteering it was leeking fluid but we couldnt work out were from. it was making a awful noise when turning the wheel so i got the pump changed and that seems to have worked but im still getting the noise when i turn the wheel when the car isnt moving and when its on full lock there is plenty of fluid in and there dosnt seem to be any more leeks. Anybody got any ideas what the problem could be. I did have a crash last october but had it all professionaly repaird could there be another reason for the noises ?

The noise could be the drive belt slipping because the system is under load.

The pump is driven by a belt off the engine. If it's a high pitched squeal this is caused by the belt being loose and slipping.

Because the pump is only under load when you are turning.
