Ive bought a car and the tax runs out at the end of this month, but I havent got the log bug as its been sent to the DVLA to change into my name.
What can I do?
Can I just ring up and declare it off the road,
I have got the tax reminder thing if that makes any difference?

you should have the little green slip off the log book, you can tax the car with that and you can use it for up to 6 months to tax the car

You should have the tear off slip you keep when you send the logbook. This is enough, along with insurance, mot.

Ahh right, I thought I had to send a part of the log book off.
