whats the padded stuff that sits on the bulk head? it's held on with those plastic screw on bits. whats the purpose of it?.
anyway doesn't look like it does much and it started to sag on my car so ive taken it out, going to grind the screw bits off aswel, get the bay painted then

Its just sound deadening, the bottom of the range models dont have it.. Its definitely not fire proof lol

Ive removed mine and it looks loads better i think although it isnt painted,Tight Vauxhall badger's!

It also does weigh quite alot.

yeah, its probably quite heavy now aswel, because of all the water its soaked up off the roads. have you got a pic of yours craig?
