the mountune kit is a brilliant package and it has far better perofrmance than the pub talk bhp figure claims.
it's in gear acceleration and torque play a huge part in making up the time difference between a standard st and a standard rs.
i can declare the mountune kit to my insurance for free aswell, the perks of being with greenlight insurance

Ben, are greenlight good for ST insurance then? Direct Line don't seem too bad for me if I was to continue my policy with them, but that mountune declaration for free thing may change my mind!

Coilovers, a decent geo setup and some decent tyres, LSD and I reckon you could go faster in an ST.
A diesel Astra Estate with a decent setup is faster around the 'Ring with 100bhp less FFS.

as much as i agree with you ojc, rrp for the focus st3 is 21k, so based on that, the rs is only 6k more if they're 27k which isn't really that bad.
still, bit common around my area now which is a shame, would've preferred a bit of exclusivity.

yes mate, i'm 21, 3 NCB, 2 non fault accidents, eibach springs declared it cost me £1070 which is £220 cheaper than elephant could quote me.
very good customer service too when you need to phone up to add mods etc which is a bonus.

i feel my car as standard performs fairly well. yeah, i'd like some more power but then i'd shell out more for tyres and push it more often as i give in to temptation far too easily
and i'd love a white rs like broster but it's too much money to waste. my car's lost enough money for me to bother buying another new car
