i'm currently driving a 1999 206 gti which is the biggest pile of crap i have ever driven yet i've had it for 2 years and today my mum said she is thinking about getting a brand new car and was thinking about scrapping my car since its over 10 years old.
now i know the rule is that you have to be the registered keeper of the car for longer than 12 months in order to qualify for the scrappage scheme so i cant transfer it over to my mums name so would i have to be the registered keeper of the new car she gets? and i'm not sure if she's thinking about taking out finance or buying it outright but if on finance would that have to be in my name or could that be in my mums?

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
