So im looking at a stainless steel decat section for my Punto, through work I have been dealing with Gazzella Racing, having a look on their website I've seen this Ragazzon decat:

http://www.gazzella.cc/cart.php?target=product&action=view&product_id=18193&category_id=1360
Looks like a perfect replacement for my cat, only thing is with it being stainless is it worth wrapping? it bolts straight onto the side of the turbo and down to the flexi..
They also do the flexi too in stainless which might be a future purchase along with a system back from here
do you generally just wrap manifolds?
as noone makes an aftermarket one for my car yet, probably because its not much of a manifold

opinions?

I wouldnt wrap it unless theres a few bits near that can get melted.
Alot of the time i think people wrap for track look.

For the sake of a tiny bit of pipe I wouldn't bother. If you're taking the whole manifold off though and it's able to be done I can't see the harm in it.

the downpipe is right inbetween the turbo > intercooler pipe and intercooler > throttle body pipes
and sits about an inch or two behind the radiator
With the standard cat theres a heatshield though, removing the cat im pretty sure would make this redundant as the brackets bolt to the cat iirc
theres about an inch of clearance either side between these pipes though

Just nick a fire blanket and cut it into strips. Then it will cost you no pennys to do
