Been looking at number plates to buy today,

G6 GTF was a first look, at just less than £400 [without transfer fees etc.]

G standing for Gary, 6 is my family's lucky number. GTF= my initials.

Are they worth getting?

If I got a private plate it'd have to be 5 letters, could just be a normal reg otherwise.

I know it can, but I just don't see the point of spending £400+ on a car that was given to him for nothing and is a first car - spend the money elsewhere for the moment imo. I regard a private plate more as a "finishing touch"

Why?

And, to all talking about it being a waste as seeing its my first car, good idea cause it could go towards something better for my car.

Yes, it's transferrable, but, £105 everytime i switch car? ouch!
Can get a bit pricey then, all this number plate business.

I'm glad i got my plate, F15 TOM for my 21st.

Bday is Feb 15th and name is obvious. Aslong as it means something personal to you then go for it. I don't see the point in getting ones that say fart and boobs. Just means you've got cash to waste.
