Im gonna be doing a custom boot build in the near future, was wondering what amp to use. One option is 1 sub + 1 amp, other is 2 subs + 1 amp. If using 2 subs, how many channels do i need? Sub i have chosen has an RMS of 300w.

You need to work out your budget for hardware, then pair your amp to the sub you have chosen, then work out what other speakers you will be running, which will be on the headunit or amp, and buy amps accordingly.

what about 6x9's and components?? my old corsa i had 1 amp 2 sub and all the components and that was awsome mate it was a 4 channel amp i think ...

Im just gonna run the subs off the amp. Front components will come off the HU. No 6x9's.
