Have been looking at these over last couple of days and am getting to like them alot. How easy are they to get power out off ?

Who has owned one or has experience of one ? What did you think of it ?

Only downside to me is the dash looks abit bland even more so than a mk4 astra.

Coming from a Phase 4 285bhp Astra GSi, how would the focus compare ?

I had an astra gsi in 04 and at the same time my friend had a standard FRS, and i can honestly say in standard form the FRS won hands down in almost every way for me. The drive was nicer, power delivery was better, handling and braking was better and IMO it looked a bit classier. Not sure how it would compare to a 280+ astra but i would amagine with a few tweaks the FRS would be a much better car.

IIRC Jamsport says it's relatively easy to get near 400bhp from them. Ask robin or broster

Easy to tune, not that great though.

I came across a 300bhp one when I had the arden Astra with the Remus on and it was slightly faster and didn't shake me off on the bends and the arden was standard chassis wise

Then I came across what I believe was a standard one when I had the Corsa, I could have undertaken him on this long sweeping bend the way his car was understeering.

Then the other day I came across another FRS the day I uploaded the stage 2 map.

Cars were dead level so must have been tuned and I would say the Astra was handling better, you could tell he couldn't get traction at all even with an LSD.

In short, stick with the Astra and spend some money on it.

My mate took me out in his brothers FRS.Had a few goodies on it.Was impressed for about 5mins and then it suffered major heat soak.Just didnt boost the same etc as the silly interwarmer location hadnt done much use.
