What's the going rate for an hours lesson - I'm out of the loop now

I called my old instructor and he charges £20 PH (He's an independant). Thought that was pretty decent, it was £18 when I learnt in 2005.

Think it was £15 when i was learning at about 2005-2006 but went up to £16

Think it's about £20 to £25 in my area now too and their the independent people too.

I paid £150 for a block of 10 x 1hr lessons for the g/f a few months ago.

Kirsty brother learnt at £22 an hour in April.

Fuxsake pretty steep.

mine where £17.50 per hour, with an hour free if you had 10.

Obviously independents are cheaper but some of the bigger companies charger ridiculous prices.

I paid £15 an hour, I think when my brother learnt with the same instructor it had gone up to £17 but still not bad

About a year ago I paid £18 then it went up to £19 when the fuel was at its highest.

edit; same instructor is still the same price now. ace guy.

I was paying £13 per hour when i was learning & my brother is learning at the moment and hes paying £15 per hour for the same instructor.

6 month ago I were paying £20/hr (£22 if not block booked)

Hes put his rates up £3/hr

At the moment my learner driver does hour lessons for £22, and if you book 10 he gives one free

with a company called bill plant, its £55 for a block of 5 lessons, but you have to book them in advance, most instructers ive looked at are about £20-£25
