What size are you looking for and what is your budget?

I got a couple of 1080p 32" TVs made from Beko at ALDI for £300. Come with 3 year warantys too.

Does everything i need them to do and more. ADSA and Tesco are doing simlar stuff now too. Depends if you have the cash ready or need finance.

Worth using a credit card and then paying that back? I'm quite sure that you would get a better deal that way.

As for fiance i'm not sure who does it in all fairness. John Lewis used to do good deals when i was younger. Remember my parents getting a washer from there years ago.

any questions you have about the actual tv are better off directed towards the av forums site. the chances are there will be a thread on there with loads of people discussing every telly you can get.

regarding the interest free thing, check this link out http://shop.panasonic.co.uk/page/ifc

credit cards will have better apr than HP, HFC bank do alot of HP telly deals.

For an example halifax can do 9 month interest free on there ''One'' card, if you have a main banking account with them you will get 12 Months. Other banks will be different but credit cards are not bad atall, if you use them correctly.

Saw a nice Samsung 50" Plasma in Argos other day for £649....

I paid about £480 for my 40" Samsung LCD.

Main difference between them is plasma's have glass screens whereas LCD are kinda soft to touch, same as LCD monitors.

Got to agree with this, I recently did my living room, spent about a grand on telly and a couple of pieces of furniture. Instead of laying it all out in one go I got a 12 month interest free card, paid £100 off a month till it was all gone then simply cut the card up and wrote to HSBC to close the account.

Like pete said, they are great if you use them correctly, much better than buying on HP

bit more than that

LCD you get shaper picture but unless you get 100hz/200hz then image blur on fast moving pictures become a problem

I prefer lCD as the picture is shaper and brighter but you get a more naturual picture with plasma

Do not go off store pictures as they all run demo modes to compensate for fluorescent lighting

Just make sure it's a true HD 1080p.

The latest Samsungs are superb.

we have 42'' and 50'' plasma samsungs and they do the job well, only thing is they get very hot if left on for a while which does get annoying if you use it in your bedroom and don't leave your windows open.

I'd get 42 if I was you, unless you have a massive room. We have a 50 and our room is about 6mx6m and I regret doing it, would have rather had 42 now.

I've just bought myself a KDL-40W5710

http://www.sony.co.uk/product/t32-w-series/kdl-40w5710

Will be getting it delivered once we've finished decorating the new house.

Can't wait to get the decorating finished and get it all set up.

That's good to hear. We went for the 40" version as the 46" would have probably been a little too big for the room.
