Brawn GP, Ferrari, McLaren, Renault, Toyota, BMW Sauber, Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso are starting the ball rolling for a rival championship next season

I wonder what tracks that will include if it goes ahead?

Sounds interesting anyway

It would be good. I'd follow this rather than F1 if it happens. All the best teams will be in it

I'd follow it rather than F1 too. Bet the BBC are nervous though, they've only just got into the deal for the coverage with F1 Administration

You'd of thought they would of put some sort of clauses in to cover their backs in the event of something like this happening.

Thats the other thing, if the BBC didn't get it then it'd end up on advert obsessed ITV or Sky!

could you imagine that, if F1 was just force india's going around on their own ... winning each race (as it's only team) ... but since the BBC had paid for tv coverage, would show it anyway

meanwhile on itv, the new F1 is being shown!

Its about time this has happened. Theres a lot of debt behind the ownership of F1 currently. And the regulations the FIA come out with are stupid. They try to decrease costs by prolonging component life...this doesn't cut costs it just means instead of performance testing the teams have to do durability testing. There are no real cost cutting methods in F1 - if the team has the money is has to be spent to stay at the front.
