What is the best tyre (brand, model, size) for big powered corsas with no widen arches?
I'm after something for 16z rims myself... my wheels are 7,25j at the moment... 195/40 could not be enough... 225/45 I think should be too much.
Opinions and experiences please...

...and before ppl start talking about R888s, I hate the height on the 225/45 ones:

most people use 195/45 or 195/40
but pretty sure those using toyo r888 are running 205's

195 50 r888's
the profile is larger on semi slicks as they have a stiffer sidewall

But the topic is for general information...

R888s if you just want as much grip as possible, dont think there is anything that comes close for the price. 225 is fine on a 7j rim but they dont really come in proper low profiles. Im using 225/45 Khumo KU31s on my VX220 at the moment, they handle 237bhp just fine if its any use to you

no other tyres come close to the grip of r888's. ive tried a few and they all fail badly for me. i have 195/50/16's on the front. theyre a twat as a someone said above as theyre a very square tyre unlike others.
yoko parada's are ok in the dry. bit crap in the wet. f1's good alround, same as toyo t1rs, not much between them and f1's really.

i had pirelli pzero's on my old corsa, and i thought they were great - they also come with a higher load rating which is useful considering the extra weight over the front wheels, plus it makes the side wall that little bit stiffer
